This policy explains what personal information Kitesurf China ("we") collects through kitesurfchina.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: info@kitesurfchina.com.
Who we are
Kitesurf China is a kitesurfing school and shop in Bo'ao, Hainan, China. We are responsible for the personal information described here.
What we collect
- What you type into the enquiry form: your name, email, WeChat ID or phone number, travel dates, group size, experience level, accommodation and pickup requests, and your message.
- Anything you send us directly by email or WeChat.
- Standard technical logs kept by our web host (such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request), used only to run and protect the website.
The website has no user accounts and takes no payments.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, plan and quote your lessons, rentals or gear, and arrange accommodation or pickup if you ask us to. We do not use your details for advertising and we never sell them.
Who we share it with
Only where needed to do what you asked: for example, your name and dates go to a hotel or driver if you ask us to book one. Our web host and email provider process the data on our behalf to run the site and deliver email.
Where it is stored
This website and our email are hosted outside mainland China. When you send the form, your enquiry is transferred to these servers, which is why the form asks for your consent first.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for up to two years so we can help with return visits, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Cookies
We use no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. Your browser stores one small setting on your own device to remember the language you chose. Fonts and videos are served from our own website, not from third parties.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing info@kitesurfchina.com. We will reply within 15 working days.
Children
Lessons for anyone under 18 should be booked by a parent or guardian.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
